Where it all began

Who are we?

Our story began in 1984 when a group of prominent Irish Businessmen founded the Children’s Welfare and Research Foundation with the goal of helping sick and disadvantaged children across the UK and Ireland.

We have held fundraisers, such as our Annual Golf Day, every year since our formation and supported several charities raising over £3,000,000.

Our Values

Research and Medication

Our partnerships with Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Skeletal Cancer Trust have enabled us to support children and young adults in getting the treatments they need.

Training and Education

Our support of Playskill has enabled preschool children with physical disabilities and delays to get the help they deserve through therapeutic sessions, training and education for families.

Day Trips and Events

We have always looked to provide happiness to those who need it most. Our support of Spread a Smile has helped bring some joy to children and families during long hospital visits.
